Administrative Assistant/Office Manager

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant/Office Manager to join our growing team and work on-site at an exciting start-up in Redwood City, CA. The Administrative Assistant/Office Manager would oversee and support all administrative duties in the office, ensure that the office is operating smoothly and understand the dynamics of working in a start-up environment. The ideal candidate for this position is a skillful, friendly, and agile professional with a minimum of 3 + years’ experience in an administrative role. This position requires a can-do attitude, the ability to work well in a fast-paced, growing environment and to be personable with team members.

Job Description: 

  • Ability to work on-site
  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary
  • Perform receptionist duties: greet visitors, and answer and direct phone calls
  • Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail
  • Prepare communication such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence
  • Support & develop office policies and procedures and ensure they are implemented appropriately
  • Assist with office layout planning, office moves, and with managing and support IT infrastructure
  • Manage tracking system for office expenses & vendors
  • Identify opportunities for process and office management improvements
  • Oversee and support all administrative duties as necessary, including scheduling group meetings, maintaining calendars, doing research, creating reports, and ordering food
  •  Ensure that the office is operating smoothly
  • General facilities maintenance of kitchen and restrooms


  • Associate’s degree at minimum in business administration, communications, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration, communications, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of work experience in an administrative/office management role
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize
  • Must be a self-starter and driven
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft 365 Platform
  • Experience in Microsoft Teams
